INFO CLUB – Update Septon & Temploux

Hello everyone,

While the weather conditions are pleasing to many of us for holidays, barbecues, and evenings with friends, they unfortunately complicate the organisation of our meeting in Septon.

🌞 Septon: too dry to ride

The ground is currently far too dry. There is no water point to water the meadow, and even walking in the most earthy areas, we are already raising dust. In these conditions, it is impossible to guarantee a safe and enjoyable activity.
We are therefore working on a postponement to August, hoping that the weather will give us a bit of rain by then. The farmer is in agreement, only the administrative part remains to be validated.

🚧 Temploux: postponed to next year

Second bad news: The farmer in Temploux is currently carrying out very large works on his farm. He therefore prefers not to host the event this year.
Temploux is not permanently cancelled, but simply postponed to next year.

📅 Follow-up on events

We will keep you informed as soon as we have a new date for Septon.
In the meantime, we wish you very nice holidays to those who are leaving, and great moments of driving for those who are staying.

Ethics

We are in the 21st century and live in a modern world where ecological constraints are increasing every day. All sectors of human activity are affected by environmental prevention measures, and there is no reason why ours should escape this. Indeed, it must be acknowledged that by marketing very noisy and increasingly powerful machines, the off-road motorcycle sector, and motocross in particular, is going against the current trend. Noise and land degradation are indeed the main nuisances associated with our sport. The Victory Club has aimed to be a pioneer in the fight against these issues. Since 2005, in response to the excessive noise of motorcycles, we have opposed our "Objective 92 Db" and we have given ourselves the means to achieve this by developing our own exhaust tips.

To reduce land degradation to a strict minimum, we have limited access to our Club at the same time to only non-competitive amateur riders and we have imposed a power limit on motorcycles of30 hpthrough a throttle restrictor (note: originally, powerful motorcycles have between 55 and 60 hp). It is indeed clearly established that the damage caused to the ground is directly proportional to the power of the motorcycles and the ability of their rider to use them. Since this measure has been implemented, we have observed significant progress in this area.

Finally, let us add that each area is systematically subject to complete restoration using conventional agricultural machinery (levelling, soil decompaction, and reseeding) so that our events leave no scars.

It should be noted that since our very first event in 1991, we have distributed a rubbish bag to each participant, which we ask them to use, of course, but also to take with them and dispose of via the waste services.

Club Activities

The Victory Club organises timed training sessions of 4 hours for TT motorcycles reserved for non-competitive amateur riders.
The circuits are laid out in meadows, taking advantage of their natural contours.
About ten events are offered each year from April to September throughout Wallonia.
For each event, an environmental permit has been duly issued by the competent authorities (Walloon Region and municipal administrations).

Three categories of riders

The panel of riders participating in the day's event is divided into 3 classes according to their level. Class 1 is reserved for the fastest riders. Next is Class 2 for the "average" riders, and finally Class 3 for the less experienced. These 3 classes run at the same time and each have a separate ranking (purely informational). The main goal of the timing team is to identify riders who are too fast and do not meet the Club's criteria.

In 2012, the Club inaugurated a new group, Class 4, dedicated to complete beginners. They can enjoy 2 hours on the track before the 4-hour session reserved for the other classes. More info on Class 4,click here

Safety

A medical team and an emergency doctor are present at each event.

Victory Spirit

Participation in the Victory Club's events is subject to adherence to a code of conduct outlined in acharter.

Safety, respect for others, and friendliness are its foundations.

Rider Motivation

The pleasure of riding on beautiful circuits while having friendly races with friends should be the motivation for everyone. Those who come to the Club to "achieve results" are mistaken about the organisation and we invite them to turn to motocross competitions. The Club's events are timed training sessions and not competitions. The various rankings are purely informative and do not lead to any trophies or podiums.

Safety

A pioneer intransponder timingassisted by computer, the Club offers its members reliable timing results in record time. As mentioned above, it is primarily a tool for detecting "wolves in the fold".
